Set sail as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on an ocean-going passenger cruise vessel. Be part of OSM Thome’s galley team, supporting daily meal preparation for guests and crew while keeping high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Cook and galley team with daily food preparation and cooking
- Follow standard menus, recipes, and portion control
- Prepare ingredients: cleaning, cutting, and basic cooking tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the galley and food storage areas
- Follow all food safety and HACCP procedures
- Support stock control, proper storage, and correct use of provisions
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook, preferably at sea or in large-scale catering
- Basic maritime documents and valid medical certificate
- Good knowledge of galley safety and food hygiene standards
- Ability to work in shifts and in a fast-paced galley environment
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
