Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on Oil/Chemical Tankers trading worldwide. Take a key role in safe navigation, cargo operations, and deck crew management on board a modern, well-managed fleet.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Master in safe navigation and overall ship management
- Plan and supervise loading, discharging, and cargo handling of oil/chemical products
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and company procedures
- Lead and manage deck crew, including work planning and training
- Oversee deck maintenance, inspections, and drills
- Maintain cargo and deck documentation as required
Requirements
- Valid Chief Officer / Chief Mate license (STCW II/2)
- Recent experience as C/O or 1/O on Oil/Chemical Tankers
- Valid tanker endorsements (Oil/Chemical), STCW certificates, and medicals
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Strong safety mindset and solid leadership skills
