OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to join our bulk carrier fleet trading worldwide. You will be responsible for keeping all electrical and electronic systems safe, reliable and in good working order.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair all electrical, electronic and automation systems on board
• Carry out planned maintenance for power generation, distribution and control systems
• Troubleshoot and rectify faults in engine room and deck electrical equipment
• Look after navigation and communication equipment together with the deck team
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, class and flag requirements for electrical systems
• Keep accurate maintenance and repair records

Requirements

• Valid Electro Technical Officer (ETO) CoC in line with STCW
• Sea-going experience as ETO, preferably on bulk carriers
• Strong knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
• Good English communication skills
• Medically fit for sea service and holding all mandatory STCW certificates
