Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on a car carrier vessel. Take full charge of the engine department, ensure safe and efficient operation of all machinery, and keep the vessel in top technical condition.

• Key responsibilities:
  • Oversee all engine room and machinery operations
  • Lead, train, and supervise engine room crew
  • Plan and carry out maintenance and repairs
  • Monitor fuel and lube oil consumption and condition
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and class rules
  • Maintain technical logs, reports, and documentation
  • Work closely with the Master and company office on technical matters
• Requirements:
  • Valid C/E license (unlimited) with STCW certificates up to date
  • Experience as Chief Engineer, preferably on car carriers or similar vessels
  • Strong knowledge of main engine, auxiliary engines, and ship systems
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • Strong safety mindset and good record of safe operations
  • Good English, spoken and written
