Information about the job: 

  • Job Title: Electr. Conventional Vessel Lead.
  • Project: Pipe-Laying Barge.
  • Location: Azerbaijan.
  • Rotation: 35/35 days on/off.
  • Salary: Please confirm your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated Monthly (paid only when working, not when on leave)
  • Start date: Planned to start in November 2026.
  • Contract duration: Unlimited contract.
  • Overtime: Applicable.
  • Insurances: Provided by the company.
  • Employer: Our client, a drilling and construction contractor.


Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Previous senior electrical experience onboard heavy lift, offshore construction, or similar specialized vessels.
  • Proven background as Chief Electrician, First Electrician, or equivalent senior electrical role.
  • Strong knowledge of marine electrical and automation systems.
  • Experience with K-Chief and K-Pos control systems preferred.
  • Practical experience with FMEA processes and follow-up activities.
  • Familiarity with AMOS or similar computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage electrical teams (10+ personnel).
  • Strong understanding of onboard safety procedures and marine operations.
  • Ability to work internationally and travel worldwide.

Tasks:

  • Lead and oversee all electrical and electronic systems onboard offshore vessels.
  • Ensure safe operation, reliability, and availability of critical equipment.
  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Support the Chief Engineer with maintenance planning, resources, and spare parts strategy.
  • Supervise electrical operations in line with company procedures and marine safety standards.
  • Manage and guide the electrical department during routine and emergency activities.
  • Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements when required.
  • Act as the onboard contact for electrical cybersecurity matters.
  • Ensure compliance with company cyber security procedures and relevant industry requirements.
  • Coordinate fault finding, repairs, inspections, and technical interventions.
