Join OSM Thome as 2nd Officer on a PSV operating offshore in the United Kingdom. You will support safe navigation, cargo operations and deck activities, working closely with the Master and Chief Officer in a professional and teamwork-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Stand bridge watch and ensure safe navigation and ship handling
- Assist with planning and monitoring offshore operations and DP activities (if applicable)
- Oversee deck operations, cargo and supply boat operations as directed
- Monitor safety equipment, carry out safety drills and follow company procedures
- Keep logs and records up to date and assist with paperwork as required
- Support the Master and Chief Officer in day-to-day vessel operations
Requirements
- Valid STCW CoC as Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (OICNW) or higher, appropriate for vessel and area of operation
- Experience as 2nd Officer or Officer of the Watch, preferably on PSV or offshore vessels
- Valid STCW basic safety training and required offshore certificates
- DP Full certificate mandatory
- Good watchkeeping, navigation and ship handling skills
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work well in a multinational crew
- Good command of English, spoken and written
