2nd Engineer (2/E) | Container Vessels

Description
Multiple 2nd Engineers required for Singapore-flagged container vessel trading worldwide. Responsible for safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all engine room machinery and systems, supporting the Chief Engineer and supervising engine room crew.

Position Overview:

• Role: 2nd Engineer (2/E)
• Location: Worldwide, joining in Asia
• Project: Container Vessels
• Rotation: 4 months (+/- 1) on & 2 months off
• Duration: 4 months - with option to extend or become permanent based on availability and performance, with rejoining bonus
• Rank Experience: 3 months in rank
• Container Experience: None required - though preferred
• EU/EEA residence is required

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Chief Engineer in day-to-day operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and all engine room systems
• Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
• Monitor and record engine room parameters and performance
• Ensure safe engine room operations in compliance with international regulations and company procedures
• Supervise and guide engine room ratings
• Ensure proper inventory and handling of spares, tools, fuel and lubricants
• Participate in safety drills and implement safety and environmental procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 3 months actual experience as 2nd Engineer on seagoing vessels
• Previous container experience is not required - though preferred
• Valid COC 
• All required STCW certificates valid and up to date
• Medically fit for duty as per international maritime standards
• Able to communicate effectively in English
