OSM Thome is looking for a competent 3rd Engineer (3/E) to join Stena Forwarder. You will be part of the engine team, keeping all machinery running safely and efficiently in accordance with company and flag state standards.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and engine room equipment
- Carry out planned maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting as directed by senior engineers
- Monitor engine room parameters and keep accurate logbook entries
- Support bunkering, fuel transfers and other engine room operations
- Follow all safety, environmental and permit-to-work procedures
- Take part in drills and contribute to safe engine room routines
- Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Engineer CoC (STCW) suitable for vessel and trade
- Relevant sea service in rank on similar vessels
- Valid STCW safety courses and medical certificate
- UK work permit / right to work in the UK
- Good English communication skills
- Safety-minded, team player and willing to learn
