Join OSM Thome as an additional Deck Fitter on a hard chemical tanker trading in HRA. We are looking for a hands-on, safety-minded seafarer who can carry out steel repairs, maintenance, and fabrication jobs to keep the vessel in top condition.
- Key responsibilities:
- Perform steel and pipe repairs, fitting and fabrication work on deck and in engine room
- Assist with maintenance of hull, cargo systems, and deck machinery
- Operate and maintain workshop tools and welding/cutting equipment
- Support the deck and engine teams in planned maintenance and repairs
- Follow all safety procedures, especially for chemical tanker operations
- Requirements:
- Proven sea experience as Fitter, preferably on tankers
- Good skills in welding, cutting, and basic machining
- Valid STCW certificates and medicals as per international standards
- Familiar with safety rules and work in high-risk areas (HRA)
- Good teamwork, communication, and safety awareness
