Information about the job:
- Job Title: Survey Engineer.
- Project: Various Offshore Vessels.
- Location: Worldwide / currently in the UAE.
- Duration: 12 months (renewable).
- Start Date: ASAP.
- Rotation: 35/35 days on/off.
- Salary: Please state your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated Monthly Salary, paid only while working.
- Overtime: Applicable.
- Insurance: Provided by the company.

Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Degree in Electronic Engineering, Survey Engineering, Marine Technology, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent military training).
- 2–3+ years of experience in offshore survey operations or a similar role.
- Strong practical knowledge of marine survey and positioning systems.
- Experience with EIVA NaviPac and TMS software.
- Hands-on experience with GAPS USBL acoustic positioning systems.
- Knowledge of shallow-water S-lay pipeline installation activities.
- Experience supporting anchor barge operations.
- Familiarity with GNSS, DGNSS, INS, MRU, echo sounders, DVL, bathymetric, and acoustic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain survey equipment.
- Good understanding of survey data processing, validation, and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to travel internationally and work within multicultural teams.
- Commitment to offshore safety procedures and operational standards.
Tasks:
- Install, configure, test, and operate marine survey and positioning equipment.
- Support vessel mobilisation and demobilisation activities for survey systems.
- Perform routine checks, maintenance, and fault reporting on offshore equipment.
- Assist with setup and integration of navigation, acoustic, and positioning systems.
- Monitor survey operations and verify data quality during offshore activities.
- Maintain accurate survey records, equipment logs, and operational reports.
- Support project survey teams with technical troubleshooting and system assistance.
- Coordinate with vessel crews, contractors, and equipment suppliers during operations.
- Manage survey equipment inventories, spares, and onboard resources.
- Carry out seabed and environmental measurements as required.
- Support online survey activities, including vessel positioning and data monitoring.
- Perform video monitoring/event recording tasks when required.
- Participate in risk assessments, safety meetings, and toolbox discussions.
- Follow company procedures, technical instructions, and HSE requirements.
