Terms and Conditions: 

  • Role: Hoisting Operator (Winch Operator)
  • Location: Rødbyhavn (Denmark)
  • Employer: Femern Link Contractors (FLC)
  • Project: Immersion pontoon
  • Salary: Will be provided on and off, under the relevant Danish CBA
  • Rotation: 28 days on/off
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Taxation: Varies and will be discussed with shortlisted candidates
  • EU citizenship or residence in Denmark required


Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • For the position, client prefers candidates with a Deck Officer's (CO/2nd Mate/3rd Mate) experience on pipe/cable layers, heavy lift or seismic vessels. 
  • Experience in operating heavy load winches is a must.
  • Strong skills in conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, team building, organisation, and the ability to handle confrontations diplomatically.
  • Proficiency with computer-based maintenance systems for offshore units.
  • Completion of all mandatory training and certifications relevant to the position.
  • Preferably, prior experience with complex lifting procedures, construction crane operations, and developing lifting plans.
  • Extensive experience with various scales of mooring operations.


Tasks:

  • Operate winches from the control room.
  • Manage hoisting frames from both the control room and the top of the TE.
  • Operate different davits as required.
  • Provide support on deck as necessary.
  • Use Sertica software for maintenance and record-keeping; demonstrate strong IT skills.
  • Perform daily safety inspections and briefings.
  • Handle work permits and conduct risk assessments.
  • Understand and follow Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) instructions for the job.
  • Work effectively within an international team, demonstrating flexibility and strong decision-making abilities
