OSM Thome is looking for a Wiper to join our bulk carrier fleet trading worldwide. If you are starting your engine room career and want solid sea service and hands-on experience, this could be your next contract.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engineers and motormen with daily engine room duties
- Carry out cleaning, greasing and basic maintenance of machinery spaces
- Handle waste collection and proper disposal in the engine room
- Support bunkering and fuel transfer operations as instructed
- Follow safety procedures and keep work areas clean and orderly
- Requirements:
- Valid seafarer documents and Wiper rating certificates as required
- Basic safety training and valid medical certificate
- Previous experience as Wiper or engine room rating preferred
- Good English communication on board
- Fit for worldwide trading and willing to work in a multicultural crew
