Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on an Offshore Service Operation Vessel (SOV) in Brunei. You will play a key role in safe navigation, deck operations and vessel management, supporting offshore wind and service activities.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Master in safe navigation and overall vessel operations
- Plan and supervise deck and cargo operations, including offshore transfers
- Lead and manage deck crew and ensure safe working practices
- Oversee mooring, DP operations support and gangway operations as required
- Monitor stability, ballast and vessel seaworthiness
- Ensure proper upkeep of decks, equipment and safety gear
- Implement and follow company safety, environmental and permit-to-work systems
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer / Chief Mate license (STCW II/2 or equivalent)
- Experience on offshore vessels, preferably SOV or similar DP vessels
- Strong background in deck operations and crew management
- Good knowledge of safety procedures and offshore work practices
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- All required STCW certificates and valid medical fitness
