Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer onboard an Offshore Service Operation Vessel (SOV) in Brunei. You will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery and technical systems, supporting offshore operations to the highest standards.
- Key responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all engine room operations and technical crew
- Ensure safe, efficient running and maintenance of all machinery and equipment
- Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
- Monitor fuel, lube oil, spares and technical stores
- Keep engine room records, logs and reports up to company and class standards
- Work closely with the Master and other departments to support vessel operations
- Ensure compliance with flag, class, ISM, ISPS and company procedures
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer (Unlimited) CoC, STCW compliant
- Experience as C/E on offshore vessels; SOV or DP vessel experience is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of marine engines, auxiliaries and electrical systems
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Strong leadership, teamwork and safety mindset
- All required offshore and STCW certificates valid
