Join OSM Thome as an Air Conditioning (AC) Engineer on a passenger ferry operating in Europe. You will be responsible for keeping all air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration systems in safe and reliable working order to ensure comfort for passengers and crew.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor and maintain all AC, ventilation and refrigeration systems on board
- Carry out routine inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of AC and related equipment
- Perform planned maintenance according to vessel schedules and manufacturer manuals
- Monitor system performance and adjust settings for optimal temperature and air quality
- Keep maintenance records and report defects or major issues to the Chief Engineer
- Follow all onboard safety procedures and environmental regulations
- Requirements:
- Relevant marine or technical education in refrigeration/air conditioning or similar
- Experience as AC Engineer or similar role on passenger vessels or large ships
- Good knowledge of marine HVAC, refrigeration systems and control equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
- Good English communication skills
- Valid STCW certificates and other documents required for service on passenger vessels
