OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) for LNG tankers trading worldwide. Join our team and take charge of the vessel’s electrical and electronic systems to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all electrical, electronic and automation systems onboard
- Look after power generation and distribution, including main switchboards and emergency power
- Maintain cargo control, instrumentation and monitoring systems for LNG cargo operations
- Ensure proper maintenance of navigation and communication equipment
- Carry out planned maintenance, keep technical records and follow safety and company procedures
- Support the engine and deck teams during cargo operations, drills and inspections
- Requirements:
- Valid ETO CoC and all required STCW certificates for service on tankers (LNG preferred)
- Sea service experience as ETO, ideally on gas or tanker vessels
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical and travel documents
