Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on LPG/Ethylene tankers trading worldwide. Take a key role in deck operations, cargo handling and safety, working with a professional crew in an international environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and supervise cargo operations, including loading, discharging and tank preparation
- Ensure safe and efficient deck and mooring operations
- Maintain navigational watch and assist the Master in ship handling
- Lead the deck crew and manage work and rest hours
- Oversee deck maintenance and upkeep of safety and firefighting equipment
- Implement and follow company safety, environmental and ISM procedures
Requirements
- Valid Chief Officer / Chief Mate license (unlimited)
- Recent experience as C/O on LPG and/or Ethylene tankers
- Gas tanker endorsements (IGF / gas dangerous cargo endorsements as applicable)
- All mandatory STCW certificates and valid seagoing documents
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety mindset and proven leadership on board
