Join OSM Thome as Electro Technical Rating (ETR) on chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will support safe and efficient vessel operations by keeping all electrical and electronic systems in good working order.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment
- Carry out routine checks, testing and basic troubleshooting of systems
- Support repairs on power distribution, lighting, alarms and communication systems
- Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work for all electrical jobs
- Keep tools, spare parts and work areas in good order
- Assist engine and deck teams during cargo and tank cleaning operations as required
- Requirements:
- Previous experience onboard as ETR or similar electrical rating, preferably on tankers
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fit for sea service
- Good knowledge of marine electrical and electronic systems
- Basic understanding of chemical tanker operations and safety
- Good English communication skills
- Team player with a strong safety mindset and willingness to learn
