Join OSM Thome as a Fitter onboard a Bulkcarrier trading worldwide. We are looking for a hands-on seafarer with solid steelwork and maintenance skills to support safe and efficient vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out steel repairs, welding, cutting and fabrication as required
- Assist with maintenance of deck and engine equipment, pipelines and structures
- Support planned maintenance and repair jobs during port calls and at sea
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure safe, reliable operations
- Follow all safety procedures and permit-to-work systems
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Fitter onboard seagoing vessels, preferably bulk carriers
- Proven welding and cutting skills (stick, MIG/MAG, gas cutting)
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Good command of English for safe onboard communication
- Team player with a safety-first and proactive work attitude
