OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to join a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of all electrical and electronic systems onboard, supporting smooth and efficient vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor and maintain all electrical and electronic equipment, including power generation and distribution systems
- Carry out planned maintenance and troubleshooting on automation, control, navigation and communication systems
- Support engine and deck departments with electrical repairs and technical assistance
- Ensure compliance with safety, class and company standards for all electrical systems
- Keep accurate maintenance records and report any defects or failures in a timely manner
- Requirements:
- Valid ETO CoC and all STCW certificates required for rank
- Recent seagoing experience as ETO, preferably on bulk carriers
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
- Good English communication skills and ability to work in an international crew
- Medically fit for sea service
- CANDIDATE MUST HAVE VALID STCW DOCUMENTS INCLUDING BT PSSR TRAINING
- CANDIDATE MUST HAVE VALID US VISA
- CANDIDATE MUST HAVE CRANE AND RT FLEX EXPERIENCE - 2 STROKES
