Key responsibilities
- Carry out deck maintenance: chipping, painting, cleaning, and greasing
- Handle mooring and unmooring operations under officer’s supervision
- Assist with cargo operations and lashing work as required
- Stand lookout and assist on bridge and gangway watch
- Follow safety procedures and take part in drills
- Support general duties as directed by the Bosun and officers
Requirements
- Valid STCW certificates for Ordinary Seaman
- Previous sea experience on cargo vessels (container experience an advantage)
- Valid seaman’s book, medical certificate, and passport
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for sea service, safety-minded, and ready to work in a mixed-nationality crew
