- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engine room crew with daily operations and maintenance
- Clean and keep engine room and machinery spaces in good order
- Help with bunkering and lube oil transfers as directed
- Carry out routine checks and report any defects to senior engineers
- Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times
- Requirements:
- Valid seaman’s book and basic STCW certificates
- Engine Room Watch Rating or similar entry-level engine experience preferred
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
- Good English communication skills
- Willing to work hard, learn, and grow in the engine department
