  • Job Title: Hook Up Superintendent.
  • Project: Various Offshore Vessels.
  • Location: Worldwide (currently in Qatar).
  • Duration: TBC.
  • Rotation: 35/35 days on/off.
  • Salary: Please state your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated monthly paid only while working.
  • Start date: TBC.
  • Overtime: Applicable.
  • Insurance: Provided by the company.
  • Employer: Our client, a drilling and construction contractor.


Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of offshore construction experience, including significant exposure to hook-up operations in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore installation, mechanical completion, and commissioning interfaces.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, direct labour, marine support activities, and multi-discipline teams.
  • Familiarity with permit-to-work systems, HSE requirements, and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to review schedules, monitor progress, and resolve technical and execution issues.
  • Proficient in coordinating materials, tools, equipment, and site resources.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.


Tasks:

  • Lead and coordinate offshore hook-up execution activities, ensuring alignment with project milestones and operational priorities.
  • Monitor work progress, identify deviations, and collaborate with planning teams on recovery actions and inspection readiness.
  • Work closely with engineering personnel to address technical challenges and develop practical site solutions.
  • Supervise subcontracted and in-house work crews, ensuring compliance with project requirements and quality expectations.
  • Manage manpower allocation and highlight additional resource needs or excess capacity.
  • Coordinate specialist vendors and support commissioning-related site activities.
  • Maintain project records and oversee the preparation and control of technical documentation.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure environmental and permit-to-work procedures are consistently applied.
  • Support the planning and utilization of marine assets in line with offshore execution requirements.
  • During yard activities, contribute to job package preparation, material readiness, tool availability, and detailed work planning.
  • Assist with material tracking, carry-over management, and coordination with fabrication teams to support efficient project delivery.
