Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer (2/E) on an offshore Multicat Utility Vessel working in Taiwan waters. You will be part of a small, hands-on engine team keeping all machinery safe, reliable and ready to support offshore operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Support the Chief Engineer in running and maintaining all engine room and auxiliary machinery
- Carry out daily watchkeeping, monitoring, and record-keeping in the engine room
- Perform planned maintenance and basic troubleshooting of engines, generators, pumps and other systems
- Ensure safe operations in line with company procedures and marine regulations
- Assist with bunkering, fuel/lubricant checks and stock control of spares and consumables
- Report technical issues and support repair work as required
- Requirements:
- Valid STCW 2nd Engineer (or equivalent) license for vessels of similar type/tonnage
- Recent experience as 2/E or strong 3/E background on offshore or workboats preferred
- Good understanding of diesel engines, generators and auxiliary systems
- All mandatory STCW certificates and valid medical (fit for offshore work)
- Good English communication skills
- Willingness to work in Taiwan offshore area and in a small, multi-tasking team
