Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on our oil/chemical tanker fleet trading worldwide. Take a leading role on deck, support safe and efficient cargo operations, and be a key member of the vessel’s management team.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and supervise deck operations, including loading, discharging and tank cleaning
- Ensure safe navigation and watchkeeping in line with company and international regulations
- Lead and train deck crew, ensuring good seamanship and safe working practices
- Oversee cargo handling, stability, ballast operations and vessel documentation
- Maintain deck equipment, LSA/FFA and ensure readiness for inspections and vettings
- Support the Master with shipboard management, safety drills and ISM/ISPS compliance
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer (Unlimited) license with tanker (oil/chemical) endorsements
- Recent experience as C/O or 2/O on oil/chemical tankers
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness as per international standards
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Strong safety mindset, leadership skills and teamwork attitude
- Willingness to work worldwide trading and follow company procedures
