OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Pumpman for oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will work closely with deck and engine teams to ensure safe cargo handling and good maintenance of cargo systems.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor cargo and stripping pumps during loading, discharging and tank cleaning
- Maintain cargo lines, valves, strainers, cofferdams and pump room equipment
- Carry out routine checks and basic repairs on cargo handling systems
- Assist with tank cleaning, gas freeing and ballasting operations
- Follow all safety, pollution prevention and permit-to-work procedures
- Requirements:
- Sea experience as Pumpman on oil/chemical tankers
- Good knowledge of cargo pumps, valves and piping systems
- Valid STCW certificates and tanker endorsements as per rank
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
- Basic spoken and written English for shipboard communication
- With Chemical experience
