Join OSM Thome, IWS as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) in Denmark. You will support the Galley team in preparing safe and tasty meals for all crew and offshore personnel, keeping high standards of hygiene and food handling at all times.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Cook in daily food preparation for crew and guests
- Prepare salads, side dishes, baking and simple hot meals
- Handle food storage, stock rotation and provisions check
- Keep galley, messrooms and stores clean and tidy
- Follow HACCP, hygiene and safety rules at all times
- Assist during bunkering and storing of provisions
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook at sea, preferably offshore
- Valid STCW certificates and seafarer’s medical
- Basic food hygiene / ship’s cook or equivalent certificate
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for offshore work and willing to work in a shift/rotation system
