OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer for a PSV operating offshore Luanda, Angola. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all engine room and technical equipment onboard.
- Key responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all engine room operations and maintenance
- Ensure safe and efficient running of main engines, auxiliaries and all ship systems
- Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance
- Lead, train and guide the engineering crew
- Carry out regular inspections and ensure compliance with class, flag and company standards
- Monitor fuel, lube oil and spare parts consumption and inventories
- Prepare and maintain all technical records and reports
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer CoC (unlimited), meeting STCW requirements
- Strong experience as C/E on PSV or similar offshore vessels
- Good knowledge of diesel engines, auxiliary machinery and control systems
- Experience with planned maintenance systems and PMS software
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Strong leadership, teamwork and safety mindset
- Medically fit for offshore service
