3rd Officer (3/O) – Tanker Shuttle – Bahamas Flag – Brazil (Joining Port TBC)
**Description**
3rd Officer required for Bahamas-flagged shuttle tanker operating in Brazil. The 3/O will support safe navigation, cargo operations and deck management in accordance with company procedures and international regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with safe navigation, watchkeeping and bridge duties
- Assist with cargo and ballast operations as per company and charterer procedures
- Maintain navigational equipment, charts and publications
- Participate in safety drills, ISPS and ISM compliance
- Assist with deck maintenance and supervision of ratings
- Ensure proper record-keeping and logbook entries
- Support implementation of company SMS and permit-to-work systems
**Requirements**
- Valid 3rd Officer / OOW (Deck) CoC meeting STCW requirements for tanker shuttle trade
- Previous experience on tankers, preferably shuttle tankers, as per vessel matrix
- Valid STCW basic and advanced tanker training certificates
- Valid medical fitness certificate acceptable for international trade
- Valid GMDSS, BRM/BTM and other mandatory STCW certificates
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Ability to work in a multinational crew and follow safety procedures
