Join our crew as Fitter on board the vessel Kerry. You will work closely with the engine and deck teams to keep all steel structures, pipes, and machinery in safe and good working condition.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out steel repairs, welding, cutting, and grinding on deck and in engine room
- Maintain and repair pipelines, brackets, supports, and foundations
- Assist engineers during overhauls and machinery maintenance
- Follow safety procedures and keep tools and workshop in good order
- Support general maintenance jobs as instructed by senior officers
- Requirements:
- Previous experience at sea as Fitter or similar position
- Strong welding and metal fabrication skills (arc and gas welding)
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good English communication and ability to work in a mixed crew
- Safety-minded, reliable, and hands-on attitude
