OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Fitter (FTR) to work on oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of a strong deck and engine team, helping to keep the vessel safe, reliable, and in good working condition.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out steel repairs, welding, and cutting work on deck and in engine room
- Maintain and repair pipelines, tanks, and ship structures
- Assist with maintenance of valves, deck fittings, and machinery foundations
- Support planned maintenance and dry dock repairs as instructed by officers
- Work safely, following permit-to-work and company safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous sea experience as Fitter, preferably on oil/chemical tankers
- Strong skills in welding, gas cutting, and metal fabrication
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good command of English for work and safety communication
- Team player with a strong safety mindset and readiness for worldwide trading
