Join OSM Thome as a Messman on an offshore construction vessel trading worldwide. You will support the galley and housekeeping team to keep good order, cleanliness and hygiene on board, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all crew.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Cook in meal preparation, serving food and cleaning galley areas
- Maintain cleanliness of mess rooms, pantries and accommodation areas
- Collect and wash dishes, utensils and galley equipment
- Handle garbage segregation and disposal in line with vessel procedures
- Assist with stores receiving, proper storage and stock rotation
- Follow all safety and hygiene rules on board
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Messman or similar role at sea preferred
- Valid seafarers documents and medical as per international requirements
- Basic safety and hygiene awareness
- Good teamwork attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a multicultural crew and in offshore conditions
