- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Officer with navigation and bridge watchkeeping
- Plan and monitor voyages, update charts and publications
- Support safe cargo operations and ballast handling
- Carry out safety rounds, drills and inspections
- Maintain deck equipment and safety gear as assigned
- Prepare reports and keep accurate logs and records
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Officer / OOW (Deck) license meeting STCW requirements
- Experience on bulk carriers preferred
- All mandatory STCW certificates valid and up to date
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
- Team player with a strong focus on safety and compliance
