OSM Thome is looking for a Wiper to join our bulk carrier fleet trading worldwide. Sail with an experienced crew, learn from senior engine officers and build your seagoing career in the engine room.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engine room ratings and officers in daily routines
- Carry out cleaning and housekeeping in engine room and workshops
- Help with basic maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Prepare tools and materials for repair jobs
- Follow safety procedures and take part in drills
- Report any defects, leaks or unsafe conditions to senior crew
- Requirements:
- Previous sea experience as Wiper or Engine Rating preferred
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good command of English (spoken and written)
- Fit for hard physical work in hot and confined spaces
- Team player with safe working attitude and willingness to learn
