Join OSM Thome as 3rd Engineer on a Liquid CO₂ tanker trading in Norway. You will be part of a skilled engine team, ensuring safe and efficient operation of all machinery and equipment onboard.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and other engine room machinery
- Carry out routine checks, watchkeeping and troubleshooting as directed by senior engineers
- Perform planned maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
- Monitor engine room parameters and keep accurate logs and reports
- Follow company safety procedures and support safe cargo handling of Liquified CO2
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as 3rd Engineer; Any tankers experience is an advantage
- Good knowledge of engine room operations, maintenance and safety routines
- Valid 3rd Engineer (III/1 or higher) license and STCW certificates
- Medically fit for sea service and holding valid seaman’s documents
- IGF Gas certification is an advantage.
- Good language skills in Scandinavian languages and English
