OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 3rd Engineer for a worldwide trading chemical tanker. You will be part of a professional engine team, keeping the vessel’s machinery safe, efficient and ready for trade.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and engine room systems
- Carry out planned maintenance, repairs and daily checks as assigned by 2/E and C/E
- Monitor engine room parameters and report any abnormalities
- Ensure safe engine room practices and compliance with company and international regulations
- Assist with bunkering operations and fuel/lubricant management
- Complete engine room logs, records and maintenance reports
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer CoC suitable for chemical tanker operations
- Previous experience on tankers, preferably chemical tankers
- Experience with ME engines
- Valid STCW basic and advanced tanker certificates
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical and necessary travel documents
