Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on chemical tankers trading worldwide. Take full charge of the engine department, keep all machinery running safely and efficiently, and support safe cargo operations wherever the vessel trades.
- Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engine department on board
- Ensure safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all machinery and equipment
- Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
- Monitor bunkering, fuel and lube oil consumption and condition
- Ensure compliance with class, flag, company and safety regulations
- Keep engine room records and reports up to date
- Work closely with the Master and deck officers to support safe cargo operations
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer license – unlimited
- Recent experience as C/E on chemical or product tankers
- Strong knowledge of engine room systems, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Strong safety mindset and leadership skills
