Join OSM Thome as a Motorman / Oiler on a Cargo Transfer Vessel operating off Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. You will be part of the engine room team, helping to keep all machinery running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Engine Officer with operation and upkeep of main engine and auxiliaries
- Carry out routine engine room rounds and report any abnormalities
- Perform daily checks, lubrication and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Keep engine room, workshop and stores clean, safe and well organized
- Support bunkering, fuel transfer and other engine room operations as instructed
- Follow all safety, environmental and permit-to-work procedures
Requirements
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (MTM) rating certificate and seaman’s book
- Relevant STCW certificates and valid medical fitness
- Previous experience as Motorman / Oiler, preferably on offshore or CTV type vessels
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety awareness and ability to work in a team on board
