Join OSM Thome as an Able Seafarer (AB) on chemical tankers trading worldwide. Work with an experienced crew, keep the vessel safe and shipshape, and grow your seagoing career in a professional tanker fleet.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out deck duties, maintenance, chipping, painting, and cleaning
- Handle mooring, unmooring, anchoring, and cargo hose operations
- Stand lookout and steering watches as directed by the Officer on Watch
- Assist with cargo and bunker operations on chemical tankers
- Follow safety procedures, permits to work, and toolbox talks
- Take part in drills and emergency response as per company and vessel requirements
- Requirements:
- Valid AB certificate and STCW basic training
- Previous experience on tankers; chemical tanker experience preferred
- Valid tanker familiarization / advanced chemical tanker (as applicable)
- Medical fitness and required international seafarer documents
- Good English communication and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew
