OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Officer for an oil/chemical tanker trading in the North Sea. If you are a hands-on deck officer with strong cargo and navigational skills, we invite you to sail with us.
- Key responsibilities:
- Lead deck department and ensure safe navigation and watchkeeping
- Plan and supervise cargo, ballast, and tank cleaning operations
- Maintain deck equipment, safety gear, and LSA/FFA in good order
- Support the Master with shipboard management, drills, and safety culture
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, ISM, ISPS, and international regulations
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer license for oil/chemical tankers
- Recent sea service as C/O or strong 1/O experience on oil/chemical tankers
- Valid STCW certificates, tanker endorsements, and medical
- Good English communication skills
- Strong cargo handling, stability, and safety awareness
