OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Master for worldwide trading on bulk carriers. Take command of a well-managed vessel and lead a professional crew in safe and efficient operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Overall command of the vessel, crew, and cargo
- Ensure safe navigation and compliance with all regulations
- Plan and execute voyages, port calls, and cargo operations
- Lead and train officers and crew, maintain good discipline on board
- Oversee SMS, audits, drills, and emergency preparedness
- Maintain close communication with office, charterers, and port authorities
- Requirements:
- Valid Master Mariner (Unlimited) CoC
- Recent experience as Master on bulk carriers
- Strong ship handling and navigational skills
- Good knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MARPOL and other relevant conventions
- STCW certificates and medicals valid as per flag and trade
- Good English communication skills, leadership and teamwork attitude
