OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Fitter for bulkcarrier vessels trading worldwide. If you are hands-on, safety-minded, and used to working closely with deck and engine teams, this could be a good next step for you.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out steel repairs, welding and cutting jobs on deck and in engine room
- Assist with maintenance of hull, piping, fittings, ladders and structures
- Support engineers and deck officers during maintenance and repair work
- Operate and maintain workshop tools and welding equipment safely
- Follow company and vessel safety procedures at all times
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Fitter on bulkcarrier or similar cargo vessels
- Good skills in welding, cutting and basic machining
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Good spoken English for safe communication onboard
- Team player with a proactive and safety-first attitude
