OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer for an offshore Multicat Utility Vessel operating in Taichung, Taiwan. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient running of all engine room and technical operations onboard.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee operation and maintenance of main engines, auxiliaries, and all machinery
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs
- Monitor fuel, lube oil, spares, and technical stores
- Ensure all safety and environmental procedures are followed in the engine room
- Lead and supervise engine room crew and maintain proper watchkeeping
- Maintain technical records, logs, and reports
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer license for offshore vessels
- Previous experience as C/E on Multicat or similar offshore utility vessels preferred
- Strong knowledge of marine engines, auxiliary systems, and PMS
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and safety mindset
- All mandatory STCW certificates and valid medical fitness
