Experienced HSE Scaffolding Officer needed in Filyos, Turkey to join a project of our client, a leading drilling and construction contractor.

Information about the job: 

  • Job Title: HSE Scaffolding Officer.
  • Location: Filyos, Turkey. 
  • Status: Single Status- CAMP.
  • Start date: ASAP.
  • Contract: International Assignment. 
  • Duration: 4 months onshore (could be extended) / 4 offshore. 
  • Rotation: Whilst in onshore: Global mobility applied. 69 days of vacation per year and 6 flights per year. Whilst in offshore: Rotational scheme applied. 35 consecutive calendar days on site followed by 35- NOT paid- calendar days of leave (“Leave Days”). Note: The Leave Days are inclusive of travelling time from and to the country of domicile.
  • Salary: Please state your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Whilst in onshore: Monthly Salary + OVT. Whilst in offshore: Consolidated Monthly + OVT. 
  • Overtime Rate: Applicable. 
  • Working days/ hours: Whilst in onshore: 12 hours per day and 6 days per week. Whilst in offshore: 12 hours per day and 7 days per week.
  • Full Board/ Living allowance: Food and Boarding is provided. 
  • Accommodation: Provided by company (Flotel). 
  • Insurance: Provided by the company.
  • Employer: Our client, a drilling and construction contractor.


Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Demonstrated Scaffolding experience in oil and gas/ offshore is mandatory. 
  • Practical background in safety roles within the oil & gas industry.
  • Prior work exposure in onshore / offshore operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of scaffolding safety requirements, inspection processes, and applicable international standards.
  • Experience in conducting HSE inspections, audits, incident investigations, and workplace safety assessments.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials management, emergency response procedures, and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Experience in preparing HSE reports, maintaining HSE records, and monitoring HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials management, emergency response procedures, and environmental compliance requirements.


Mission:

  • Ensure that Project/Site HSE plans and procedures are properly implemented on site during operations.
  • Report to Field HSE Manager or site manager on any HSE issues occurred on site.
  • Liaise continuously with the workforce and supervision on HSE issues.


Tasks:

  • Conduct internal HSE inspections.
  • Deliver HSE induction and training.
  • Keep updated HSE procedures for the specific tasks.
  • Supervise HSE procedures implementation in the operative sites.
  • Ensure effective implementation of Life Saving Rules.
  • Spread HSE rules / standards / procedures / bulletins on site.
  • Ensure that relevant safety risk assessments are complied with and that Job Safety Analysis are prepared during the operations.
  • Promote safe operative techniques and methodologies for the planning, safety control (i.e. JSA).
  • Ensure adequate HSE reporting in line with Company procedures.
  • Inspect subcontractors activities.
  • Control compliance of the equipment utilized on site.
  • Monitor the effective implementation of the Permit to Work system on site.
  • Prepare and administer HSE Key Performance Indicators for the operational activities.
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents and analysis in order to identify trends and propose the necessary corrective measures.
  • Monitor and maintain control measures in the use of hazardous materials.
  • Supervise Environmental aspect on site, supporting key personnel.
