Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer on our bulk carrier fleet trading worldwide. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and engine team to keep all machinery running safely and efficiently.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance
- Monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliaries, boilers and related systems
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs
- Supervise engine room ratings and ensure safe working practices
- Keep engine room logs, records and reports up to date
- Support bunkering, fuel oil management and pollution prevention
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer (III/2) license with STCW certificates up to date
- Experience as 2/E on bulk carriers or similar deep-sea vessels
- Strong knowledge of main engine and auxiliary machinery operation
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate and seafarer documents
- Candidate must have RT Flex experience from current rank
- Must have Crane and Bulk experiences
- Prefers with valid US Visa
