Join OSM Thome as Motorman / Oiler on an LNG tanker trading in Brazil. Work with a skilled engine team, keep machinery in top condition and support safe, reliable vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the engineering crew with operation and routine maintenance of main and auxiliary engines
- Carry out regular lubrication, cleaning and tightening of engine room equipment
- Monitor machinery parameters and report any abnormal sounds, leaks or vibrations
- Keep engine room spaces, tools and work areas clean and orderly
- Follow all safety procedures and support bunkering and cargo operations as directed
- Assist during drills, watchkeeping and emergency duties as per SMS and onboard instructions
- Requirements:
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (MTM) CoC and STCW certificates as required
- Experience as Motorman / Oiler, preferably on tankers; LNG experience is an advantage
- Good knowledge of engine room routines, safety practices and basic maintenance
- Marine medical fitness and valid seafarer documents
- Good English communication and team-working skills
- Right to work and sail from Brazil, as required by local regulations
