Join OSM Thome as a Crane Operator (CRO) on an offshore support vessel operating worldwide, with base in Blyth, UK. We are looking for a hands-on, safety-minded crane operator with solid offshore experience and good teamwork skills.
Key responsibilities
- Operate offshore cranes safely for cargo, deck and offshore lifts
- Carry out lifting operations in line with procedures and lift plans
- Perform daily checks and basic maintenance on crane and related gear
- Coordinate with bridge, deck crew and project team during all lifts
- Keep lifting equipment and records in good order
- Follow all safety rules and take part in drills and toolbox talks
Requirements
- Proven experience as Offshore Crane Operator (CRO) on support/offshore vessels
- Valid offshore crane operator certificate (CRO) and relevant STCW documents
- Strong focus on safety and good knowledge of lifting operations
- Fit for offshore work with valid medical and required offshore survival
- Good communication skills and ability to work in an international crew
- Hold UK work permit
