Join OSM Thome as 2nd Officer on a PSV operating offshore United Kingdom. You will support safe navigation, cargo operations, and deck activities, working closely with the bridge and deck teams to ensure smooth daily operations offshore.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Officer with watchkeeping and navigation duties
- Carry out bridge watch, including passage planning and position fixing
- Support cargo and deck operations in port and offshore
- Maintain navigational equipment and charts up to date
- Assist with safety drills, inspections, and permit-to-work systems
- Ensure compliance with company, flag state and international regulations
- Requirements:
- Valid STCW 2nd Officer license appropriate for vessel and trade
- Previous experience as 2/O or Officer of the Watch, preferably on PSV or offshore vessels
- Valid STCW basic and advanced safety certificates
- Valid DP FULL(unlimited) certificate
- Valid medical fitness certificate and seaman’s book
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew
