Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on a Fast Supply Vessel (FSV) operating offshore Luanda, Angola. You will support the Master in safe vessel operations, cargo runs, and marine logistics for offshore clients.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Master in overall vessel command and day-to-day operations
- Plan and supervise deck operations, cargo loading/unloading and offshore supply runs
- Ensure safe navigation, passage planning and watchkeeping in accordance with company and international rules
- Lead and manage deck crew, including work planning, training and safety drills
- Oversee maintenance of deck equipment, lifesaving and firefighting appliances
- Implement and maintain safety, security and environmental procedures (ISM/ISPS)
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer / Chief Mate license (STCW compliant)
- Previous experience as C/O on Offshore / FSV or similar high-speed support vessels
- Strong background in offshore operations and DP environment (DP experience an advantage)
- All required STCW certificates valid and up to date
- Good English communication skills, spoken and written
- Strong safety mindset and proven leadership with multinational crews
