Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on a cement carrier trading worldwide. Take full charge of the engine department, ensure safe and efficient operation of all machinery, and support reliable vessel performance across global routes.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engine room team
- Operate, monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliaries and all technical systems
- Operate and maintain cement cargo discharge and conveying systems
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company procedures
- Maintain engine room logs, records and reports
- Coordinate with the Master and other departments on all technical matters
- Requirements:
- Valid STCW Chief Engineer (Motor) license for seagoing vessels
- Experience as C/E or strong 1/E experience on bulk carriers
- Good knowledge of engine room operations, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid medical certificate and required STCW safety training
- Good English communication skills
